West Indies seamer joins for two-month spell at start of season

Miguel Cummins, the West Indies fast bowler, has signed a short-term deal with Kent, making him available for the first eight games of the club’s County Championship campaign.

Cummins, who has played 14 Test and 11 ODIs, joined Middlesex in 2019 under the Kolpak ruling and featured in the Bob Willis Trophy – including taking 5 for 62 against Kent at Canterbury – and Vitality Blast last year. He has also previously played county cricket for Worcestershire.

The 30-year-old will be part of Kent’s squad for the initial red-ball chunk of the season, from April up until the end of their Championship game against Nottinghamshire starting on June 3.
